  My mother got her first shot of covaxin vaccine a week back. 

  Day 1 - she felt normal but her arm started hurting by late in the day & she was feeling little anxious.

  Day 2 - She got 102 fever and took "dolo 650" as prsecribed by the doctor. She had severe body pain, cough, body pain, and worst headache of her life. 

  Day 3 - She had mile fever, took one tab of dolo and her it went down. Arm was still sore and she was feeling pain at the injected area.

  She didn't get any fever after the following days but her arm is still swollen. 

  However, vaccination is still very very important, especially what India is currently going through. Please take care of your parents and yourself.

  Recently, my father has got vaccinated with his second dose of the Covishield vaccine. Let me tell you about his experience. 

  During his first dose:

  He had pain at the injection site, fever, mild headache, and body ache, which lasted till the next day.

  Second dose:

  He had mild pain at the injection site but no fever and body ache. The doctor advised him to take one paracetamol and he was all through.

  According to my father and me, everyone should take the vaccine! It's safe.

  Moreover, India has delivered more than 100 million doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, the fastest country to reach this mark. So, get yourself vaccinated ASAP.
